Horror Half Moon 2010

lol so re-writes on my Zombie film are almost done and we are meeting with effects companies, had fun with the new intern when I told him guess what your job is today….you get to be dressed up as a zombie…I need to see how good this company is so grab your dirtiest shirt and meet me in Hollywood. We go down to the studio and  this company has it all. Blood ,guts  , a box of chopped of hands and I must say after seeing their would i was very inspired I’m excited about these upcoming movies and I’m ready to start directing again …its been too long!

So Im still rewriting the action script and need a little inspiration for the action scenes. Every action movie has a car chase scene but how do you make it interesting- So Im talking to my friend in the DEA and Im like whats the craziest thing that has ever happened during a car chase…well after talking to him I called my auto tech he suggested I take some of the test cars out for a spin before I do any more writing and before we do any filming. So me and an intern arranged to go to  an airport straight away road and test out some cars. Lets just say Im amazed they pay me me do this… Had a blast today racing cars as “research for my upcoming action script…hope you enjoy the pic

So Im doing some writing on the action scripts and decided to visit one of the top pyrotechnic companies here in LA. A buddy of mine is an pyro -artist- meaning he really likes to play with fire! I gave him the first 30 pages of the script and he was like ‘ Bro Please let me work on this film it would be so much fun!” Im like on 2 conditions …1 cut me a good deal on the budget and 2 show me what you can do. Well within an hour he had me drive out to their studio and lets just say I had a blast – for the next four hours he showed me different effects and fires. It was sweet and then he let me blow some cars up and set some things on fire.  I will be re-writing the script to add in some of the cool effects he showed me. I cant show you video because to be honest some of the stuff we did was against the law( LA has fire code laws to prevent forest fires) but check out some of the aftermath…

So the staff and I are meeting with effect companies to decide who will work on the upcoming movie slate, with 3 action and 2 horror movies , one zombie and one vampire  it’s important to have  affordable non-cheesy effects. Well today’s company we visited is a big house they are doing some of the effects on the new Conan the barbarian movie and they were nice enough to let me swing one the the swords from the movie…and I didnt poke out anyones eye FYI lol

So the action scripts are coming along just fine- there are 3 action film in development…I can’t spill the beans just yet but one is about a bomb defuser, the other about a kick ass assassin and  the last about about a kidnapped girl. I LOVE action  films and really wanted to do a few project similar to the 80′s action movies I group up with so expect a lot of kick ass fight scenes, over the top villains, cool one liners,suped-up sports cars and cops visiting strip clubs. Come on almost every 80′s action movie had a cop visiting a strip club-HA HA I’ll be doing “research for these films over the next few weeks so get ready for pics and video of my ” Research” lol

So the script for the Zombie movie that we are planing on shooting this fall is done we are meeting with reps from Sony and also checking out the upcoming JVC cameras to decide which to shoot the film on – I might go back and do some rewrites as well to the script. My co producers are little worried at one scene in particular my have to be rewitten due to the fact that some international buyers don’t like film what have violence against children. The staff and I are very excited we are starting production on 2 upcoming projects, and moving into our new office space next week! YEAH!! I got to chance to used Sony’s new 3D cameras in a test shoot last week and Im excited to see the footage I’m really looking forward to shooting the next horror movie in 3D-Also if you are a college student looking for a new cool company to intern for we will be hiring interns in the next few weeks.
